AHV (Агенција за храна и ветеринарство, Agency for Food and Veterinary Affairs) is the correct food safety authority governing labelling compliance aligned with EU FIC under the SAA (Stabilisation and Association Agreement); the earlier reference to 'АKZM' was incorrect. Macedonian is the official labelling language for domestic retail; Albanian must also appear in municipalities where Albanian speakers exceed 20% of the population. EU FIC Regulation 1169/2011 is being transposed into North Macedonian law as part of the EU acquis approximation. MALMED (Агенција за лекови и медицински средства, Agency for Medicines and Medical Devices of North Macedonia) regulates pharmaceutical packaging aligned with EMA standards, including participation in EU MRP/DCP procedures through Pilot Programme extensions.
