Labeling requirements in Kuwait

The Public Authority for Food and Nutrition (PAFN) regulates food in Kuwait, and the Ministry of Health's Drug and Food Control Administration handles cosmetics registration. Arabic is required on mandatory label information, and English may appear alongside it.

Food: the Gulf standard GSO 9 (adopted as KWS GSO 9) covers Arabic text, ingredients, dates, origin, net content and lot identification.
Nutrition: GSO 2233 sets the nutrition labelling requirements.
Registration: food products are registered before sale through PAFN's Raqeb platform.
Cosmetics: registered with the Ministry of Health, comply with Gulf standards, and carry warnings in Arabic.
Supplements: confirm the registration route with PAFN or the Ministry of Health before printing.
CBD: we don't design CBD packs for this market.
