Labeling requirements in Singapore
The Singapore Food Agency (SFA) regulates food labelling, and the Health Sciences Authority (HSA) oversees health supplements and cosmetics. Labels must be in English.
- Food: the Food Regulations set requirements for the product name, ingredients, allergens, net quantity, origin and date marking.
- Nutri-Grade: applicable beverages carry grade marks, and the scheme is planned to extend to salt, sauces, seasonings, instant noodles and cooking oil from mid-2027.
- Supplements: health supplement labels must follow HSA guidelines and avoid medicinal claims.
- Cosmetics: follows the ASEAN Cosmetic Directive, with notification to the HSA before sale.
- CBD: controlled under Singapore's drug laws, so we don't design CBD packs for this market.
